Chemistry and environmental behavior of soil humic substances.
Research description: isolation, purification, fractionation and
characterization of soil humic substances; long-term/seasonal dynamics and
response of soil humic compounds to anthropogenic impacts.
Approach to the development of "humic technology" for soil rehabilitation.
My project supported by the Fulbright Program is focused on heavy metal binding by soil humic acids. I am happy to join Humic Acids Research Group as the problems of structural chemistry are being applied in relation to environmental functions of humic biopolymers and their derivatives.
