I have worked with numerous researchers involved with individual projects such as stem cell research and humic acids. Even though these topics are intellectually interesting, I had not given much interest until I was given an opportunity to conduct my own research. Not being able to grasp it my self prohibited me from realizing the potential of the these projects.  Humic acid, which is derived from natural soil, is promising to act as mode of cancer therapy and stem cell research, which is promising to cure such fatal illnesses as Parkinson’s disease. I can understand at the molecular level how DNA and RNA constituent interact with humic acids. Through reading articles and performing the experiments hands fills me with excitement. What excites me most is that I have learned a great deal from various researchers whose passion for their pursuits may not always reward them with wealth or recognition. Through persistent work and enduring efforts they nevertheless have inspired me with their passion and willingness to make sacrifices for what they love.
