I am a doctoral student

I got my B. Sc. degree in 1989 and my M. Sc. in 1996 in Chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Alexandria University, Egypt. My M. Sc. thesis describes the solvatochromic behavior of some nucleic acid constituents and correlates the observed spectral shifts using computational chemistry. Also, I synthesized and elucidated the structure of some new important metal complexes and studied their axial ligation kinetics.

My research interest now is focused on environmentally important substances, particularly HAs. I am studying the thermodynamics and kinetics of metal binding by HAs and investigating the nature of HA binding sites..
