| Nicole Smith Newton, KS B.S., Biochemistry 1998 ![]() nismith@swbell.net I was born in Coldwater, Michigan. I am currently a resident of Kansas, where most of my family lives. I attended Northeastern University from 1995-1998, majoring in biochemistry. During college, I worked on the humic acid research group performing adsorption experiments on humic acids extracted from soils, peats, and bogs from Maine, New Hampshire, Germany and Ireland. I have gained valuable experience from the lab during my undergraduate career which has immensely helped with gaining a job and acquiring new skills now that I am working in the "real world". I worked in Dallas, Texas, in a forensic laboratory performing analysis on general, environmental, and industrial hygiene samples. Currently, I am a medical student at Kansas State University. I am looking into the field of pediatrics, but my plans may change in the future. |
